Beautiful fabric choices! Would love to shop where you shop! Is this more of a warm weather beach bag, or do you think it would be strong enough to be an eco-friendly grocery bag?
Hi Nat,
My grandmother carries either of the two I made her as a casual everyday handbag and they have held up well over the past year. The bag as I made it isn’t huge so it wouldn’t work as a grocery bag, unless it’s just a couple of items that is.
Try this one if you are looking for a grocery tote: http://katieskitchenblog.com/2010/04/18/look-what-i-made-jane-market-bag/

Aah yes, thanks for the link. That bag would do well – not as sexy, but definitely more utilitarian!
Perhaps if the pattern was enlarged and made with a sturdy canvas? Worth a try!
