The antidote to worrying about colour choice? Start a project with random scraps of yarn. It can’t go wrong!

I adore this.
I love the crazy colours!
I am new to crochet and have a bunch of yarn and scraps of yarn given to me and I think this would be a good start to learn to crochet. Can you share a little about how to get started on the hodge podge blanket? I know how to single, double, and half-double crochet and think I could do this with a little explanation. What stitch do you use, etc?
Thanks so much,
Would love to have some instructions in your hodgepodge crocheted blanket: # of chains to begin with; what stitch?
The blanket is a standard granny square. There are three trebles/DC in each cluster, one chain between each cluster and two chains on corners. I start with a magic circle. I wouldn’t be much good at explaining at explaining how to make one but thankfully there are plenty of tutorials online! YouTube is great for detailed instruction. Good luck and let me know how you go!
