Look What I Made: Cowl Neck Poncho

PONCHO Here’s an end-of-the-day, no-makeup, poorly lit snapshot of my snazzy new winter poncho! This is 12-ply acrylic but very tempted to make a more sensibly-coloured poncho in a beautiful Bendigo Woollen Mills 10 ply yarn. This project was an excuse to use this grey, mustard and blue combination that I spied around the same time my good friend Alyce was shopping for yarn. She’s working on her first crochet blanket in the same style. This poncho will be my go-to for keeping warm in the house this winter…with perhaps a beanie to match. Tres chic!

For my own notes: cowl neck with 6mm hook and body with 5mm hook.

The pattern is by Simone Francis from Simply Crochet magazine, and can be purchased through Ravelry. Here’s another version by Lucy of Attic 24.
