Hi Kristin,
I can see that would be confusing! I'll find a way to alter the font so it is clearer. I hope you enjoyed the cake anyway.

Make sure you read the instructions right! Haha! Instead of reading 1 and 1/4, I read 11/4. Sure I thought that was a strange number, but you never know! Also, my frosting turned out darker than this one, so it blends with the glaze. I'm sure the recipe is much better than what I made because I am still new to the baking world. I'll just have to try again sometime!

Usually I use a 4mm hook as suggested on the yarn packet. (Look for the knitting needles symbol and use the same size (in mm) hook.)
This time I'm using a bigger hook, a 6mm I think, which results in a looser, bigger stitch.

Hi Larissa,
I'm using Panda Magnum Soft, it's an acrylic 8ply. It's on sale at Lincraft now actually. I love it and use it a lot, it's super soft and machine washable.

Hi Valli,
Yes, a regular Singer sewing machine I've had for over 15 years. I don't think I'd attempt to quilt a bigger quilt with it, but I managed with this one.
I found some sheets in thrift stores like Vinnies or the Salvos, but most I purchased in fat quarters from Etsy. Vintage sheet fat quarters on Etsy sell for between $1 and $3 each.
