Does knit fabric fray?
Knits do not fray like woven fabrics do, so you only need to turn the hem under once.
How do you cut a knit without it unraveling?
Sew two lines with a sewing machine on each side of the marked cutting line. Make sure the lines are roughly 1/2 inch apart. The stitched lines will hold the knitting in place to prevent unraveling.

Fabric sealants are clear plastic liquids in a tube that seal the fabric edge and stop fraying without sewing. Fabric sealants, which are made by several different companies, are available in craft stores. To apply fabric sealants, trim any loose threads from the edge of the fabric.
Do you need an Overlocker to sew jersey?
